The road to Gilded Getaways
Gilded Getaways was not built overnight. It grew from years of industry experience, hard-earned expertise, national recognition, and a clear vision for what modern travel planning could become.
The beginning of a new path
After leaving a career in the beauty industry, Asia entered the travel world at Liberty Travel in Voorhees, New Jersey. What started as a career change quickly became something much bigger: a deep love for designing meaningful travel experiences and helping people see more of the world.
Growing into leadership
Just one year later, Asia became the Assistant Team Lead at Liberty Travel’s Cherry Hill, New Jersey location, helping mentor advisors while continuing to grow her own client base and expertise.
Travel became personal
Asia completed the Everest Base Camp trek through the Himalayas alongside her father, spending 20 days trekking through Nepal’s mountain villages and landscapes.
The experience reinforced something she already deeply believed: travel has the power to completely change how we see ourselves and the world around us.
Expanding expertise and getting married
Asia joined GOGO Vacations’ long-haul department, creating custom itineraries for travel advisors planning trips throughout Europe, Asia, South America, and Africa.
That same year, she also eloped with her now-husband in Zion National Park, further deepening her appreciation for meaningful experiences, celebration travel, and the emotional side of why people travel in the first place.
The industry changed overnight
Like much of the travel industry, the COVID-19 pandemic brought enormous uncertainty and challenges. But even during one of travel’s hardest seasons, Asia remained deeply connected to the industry and the people within it.
Returning with a clearer vision
In January 2021, Asia officially returned to the travel industry full-time with a renewed sense of purpose and a clearer vision for the kind of business she wanted to build: thoughtful, relationship-driven, expertise-led travel planning centered around real human connection, not sales quotas.

After years of building her personal brand, hosting group trips, specializing in Europe and river cruising, and creating a high-touch client experience, Asia was recognized nationally within the travel industry.

After years of growth, referrals, mentorship, hosted experiences, and increasing demand, Asia officially launched Gilded Getaways: a boutique, specialist-led travel agency built around thoughtful planning, aligned values, and destination expertise.
The agency launched with a growing team of specialized advisors focused on Europe and river cruising, Disney, Mexico and Caribbean travel, wellness and intentional travel, ocean cruising, and North America experience-driven travel.
