The eclipse moment
A “ring of fire” eclipse in the Galápagos.
On January 26, 2028, an annular solar eclipse is expected to be visible from the Galápagos Islands, creating the famous “ring of fire” effect when the Moon passes in front of the Sun but does not fully cover it.
Solar eclipse viewing is always weather-dependent, but pairing this rare celestial event with one of the most unique ecosystems on the planet is exactly the kind of trip people talk about forever.
