About Asia

I didn’t get into travel because I wanted to sell vacations.

I got into travel because exploring the world genuinely changed my life, and I wanted to help other people experience that same feeling.

Since starting my career in travel in 2015 after taking a trip to Ireland, staying in castles across the country that I booked on GROUPON (yes, you read that right...), I’ve built a business focused on highly personalized, relationship-driven travel planning with a specialty in luxury Europe travel, romantic getaways, custom honeymoons, river cruising, and meaningful bucket-list experiences.

Today, I work with travelers across the country to design trips that feel seamless, exciting, and deeply personal — whether that’s a honeymoon through Italy and Greece, a custom Europe itinerary with boutique hotels and unforgettable food, a romantic river cruise through Europe, or a once-in-a-lifetime adventure that’s been sitting on someone’s dream board for years.

Industry Leadership

Awards matter because they represent trust.

I’ve had the opportunity to speak and serve on panels at national industry events, mentor other travel advisors, and volunteer within ASTA’s Young Professionals Society leadership community.

While the awards themselves are exciting, what matters most to me is what they represent: trust, relationships, creativity, advocacy, and a genuine passion for helping people experience the world in meaningful ways.

My Approach

My clients come to me because they don’t want to second-guess every decision.

They want someone who understands their vision, refines it, and executes it seamlessly. I take a very high-touch, strategic approach to planning.

  • Avoiding cookie-cutter itineraries
  • Giving honest recommendations, even if it’s not the easiest option
  • Ensuring thoughtful pacing so your trip actually feels good
  • Always putting a focus on experiences over excess

My Personal Travel Preferences

Travel is personal. These are a few experiences that shaped the way I plan.

The places I love most are usually the ones that combine atmosphere, food, texture, history, and the feeling of being fully present.

Asia and Eric traveling by campervan in New Zealand

Favorite Trip I’ve Ever Taken

New Zealand by Campervan

In 2023, Eric and I rented a campervan and spent almost three weeks traveling throughout New Zealand.

It was slow, romantic, spontaneous, and exactly what we needed at the time. We wandered, changed plans, pulled over constantly for views that looked fake, and even broke down one day outside of Nelson.

Somehow, that became part of the story instead of ruining the trip. We loved the freedom of it so much that we’re already planning another campervan trip, this time through Iceland.

Budapest Hungary

I’d Go Back Again & Again

Budapest

The architecture, the people, the food, the river, the Christmas markets — Budapest just has me.

It has my favorite Christmas market in the world with the perfect mix of handcrafted items and food. I am obsessed with paprika, and the first thing I buy every time I arrive is paprika chips and cheese to snack on during my stay.

Douro River cruise in Portugal

My Most Recent Trip

Hosting 12 travelers on the Douro River

Most recently, I hosted 12 travelers aboard AmaWaterways’ AmaVida on the Douro River in Portugal.

We spent our days watching the gorgeous terraced landscapes pass us by, sipping port wine, exploring riverside towns, and soaking in that slow, golden rhythm that makes river cruising feel so special.

It was such a beautiful reminder of why I love hosted travel: the shared meals, the little inside jokes, the “can you believe we’re here?” moments, and the way a thoughtfully planned trip can bring people together.

Asia Lantz at Everest Base Camp

A Travel Story I’ll Never Forget

Trekking to Everest Base Camp with my dad in 2018.

We spent 20 days hiking through the Himalayas, moving through remote villages, suspension bridges, tea houses, and some of the most surreal landscapes I’ve ever seen.

It was physically challenging, emotionally humbling, and completely immersive in a way that very few travel experiences are.

More than anything, it was the experience of doing it together. That trip will always be one of the clearest reminders of why travel matters: because the places are incredible, but the memories we make with people we love are the part that stays with us.

River cruising in Europe

Why River Cruising

River cruising is one of my favorite ways to experience romantic Europe.

I love river cruising because it gives you the magic of multiple destinations without the constant packing, unpacking, train stations, transfers, and logistics that can make a Europe trip feel more exhausting than it needs to be.

For honeymoons, anniversaries, and romantic Europe trips, it can be such a beautiful fit: boutique ship energy, incredible scenery, historic towns, included touring, great food, and the ability to slow down while still seeing so much.

It’s not the right fit for every traveler, but when it is right, it can be absolutely golden.

Who I Work Best With

My ideal clients are the ones who have traveled before.

They know what they like, and they’re no longer interested in rushed itineraries, chaotic planning, or spending hours trying to piece everything together on their own.

💛

They value experiences

They care about how a trip feels, not just where they go.

🗺️

They want thoughtful guidance

They appreciate thoughtful recommendations over endless options.

They’re ready to trust the process

They want someone to handle the details and make the trip feel different than the last one.
